Used charcoal & raw sienna for the imprimatura, then mixed warm & cool color strings of burnt umber, burnt sienna, transparent white, & a bit of Payne’s Gray & chromatic black for the grisaille. After the dead layer was finished using 50/50 gamsol & linseed, I mounted the paper to board and continued glazing colors at 30/70.
